Josh Lewan was born and bred in Byron Bay Australia. Josh Lewan was bred a surfer and a musician in Suffolk Park. "My dream was to always surf at a high level and it still is, plus I have always loved music too." Growing up in Suffolk Park was a great training ground for Josh being around fellow professionals. "I would always surf everyday no matter what it was like." Josh has always lived close to the beach, which has made all of this possible. "All my friends surfed and played instruments growing up."
"I have been traveling around Australia and the world since I was 11 years old. Mainly all the adventures have been for surfing events, but I have learnt to take in a lot more than just surfing and competitions. I have created other talents on the road and at home with website work, music, writing and computers. I have learnt to live life on the move and I'm always looking at how to improve. I have formed great relationships with people from other countries. I have had a lot of time to think about life and what the purpose is of my life. I feel as if traveling has really opened up my mind to new ways of life and opened me up to realise that there are so many different ways of life. As I grow as a person while I compete in the World Series surfing circuit I realise that surfing is a part of my life that will always be there. It is not who I am as a whole, but it is just a part of my life."
Josh recorded his first, second and third EP albums in Suffolk Park and he continues to expand his track list. "I love constructing, writing lyrical rhymes and working on music everyday I can. I have always had a dream to be a singer/rapper but I never ever persued the whole recording experience until the 'SAE' World Institute asked me to record a song. I'm happy with the response people from around the world have given me on the streets and on the internet."
